BOLT Movie Night, 2010

Over 150 people showed up to watch BOLT in the school auditorium tonight. Fresh popcorn (right from own popcorn machines), hot dogs, refreshments were sold at the concession stand to help raise funds for the PTA and the school provided free apples. The kids had a great time socializing and even watched some of the movie…lol. We will definitely be doing this again in the near future, stay tuned. A big thank you to all the volunteers.

Dinner To Go, Nov 9, 2010

Our Annual (and Delicious!) “Dinner To Go” Event was held on Tuesday November 9th! The event coincided with our Annual Book Fair and Parent Teacher Conferences which made for an exciting (and busy) night at the school. Over 100 of our families sampled the mouth watering dishes donated by our Inwood community restaurants. Yum! Yum! Yum!

Career Day, Nov 4, 2010

We had a very exciting event at school yesterday. We had terrific guests talking about their careers. Students learned about life as an engineer, an actor, a fireman, even a comedian!

More to follow about all our visitors both parents and friends.

Back to School Night – 2010

Welcome Back! Well, it’s been a long, hot fun-filled summer, but we’re back for another exciting and rewarding year at PS/MS 278. On September 23rd our families came to the school to hear presentations from their children’s teachers, have a Q&A with Ms. Guido and to find out more about becoming part of our dynamic PTA. Check out the yummy desserts!

Halloween Parade 2010

Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My! It’s that time of year again! On October 29th, the K-3 students got dressed up and paraded around the school grounds for our Annual Halloween Parade. The kids looked super duper in their costumes and all the teachers including Ms. Guido and Ms. Reyes joined in the fun as well!
